Pride Month has its roots in the Stonewall riots – a series of demonstrations by 2SLGBTQIA+ community members in response to a police raid that began on June 28, 1969, 在曼哈顿的石墙酒吧, 纽约市. 抗议活动于7月2日结束, 1969, the gay rights movement went from being a fringe issue to front-page news worldwide; one year later, activists in 纽约市 marched the streets to commemorate the day.

Raúl shared his story of struggling with feelings of acceptance from his peers before eventually finding his support system. Raúl is also a Mental Health and Inclusion champion at TC Energy, helping grow our culture of mental wellness and inclusion.
